In the desperation of how to stick the -sartan root in my head. I was looking up Google, Google books, wikipedia. Nothing points to how -sartan is -sartan. I hum the word 'sartan'. It sounds like French? I looked up French for tension. It's not -sartan. It seems like it's still 'tension'. Sooooo.... I hum to myself.... Eureka!!! I think it's the opposite of tension:
Sartan => Sar-tan => Tan-Sar => Ten-Son => Ten-sion => HTN => angio-tensin => Angiotensin II Receptors Inhibitor => ARBs
Ten-sion ==> Sen-Ton =>Sar-Tan => angiotensin
Or
Ten-sin =>Sen-Tin => Sar-Tan
Bonus: Sartan => ARB
