Underlying muscle tension in the cervical or pericra- nial muscles occurs more frequently in tension headache 
Tension headaches are thought to be caused by “sustained contraction of the skeletal muscles of the scalp, shoulders, neck and face” 
 Tension headaches may also be referred to as stressrelated headache or muscle contraction headaches
