Guido Cagnacci : Martha Rebuking Mary for her Vanity |
so she got invited to the golden key honor society. She has not even finished her 1st year of NP school yet. Tho she likes the fact that she's top 15% of the entire college, to cough up 80$ for membership with little, if anything, benefits, it seems quite expensive. Plus, the reviews from google seems controversial. More importantly, it doesn't seem to speak to her personally. She still has like more than 1 year left to go. What if she doesn't belong to the top 15% no more, what good does having the golden key membership do for her? A line on the already very crowded resume? Only to find out that her cumulative GPA does not total up to 15% at the very end? She likes the Golden key regalia, but that's another 55$ to cough up. She has tried her luck at different scholarships and have had no lucks. It doesn't sound like she's gonna get another scholarship from this so-called society. Plus, the autobiography from the female neurosurgeon about how the neurosurgery committee actually did not select a 4.0GPA with glamorous research work candidate for her prestigious neurosurgeon residency because he's too perfect meaning he did not spend much time doing hands-on work. What having golden key on her resume do for her? Someone who's so vain that she just wants a line on the resume even tho her cumulative GPA is not 15%. She feels that's so vain. She's afraid having that line on the resume will even score her minus points. It will make more sense if they were to offer that to her at the end of her second to last semester. Maybe she'll consider it when she feels she actually belongs to the top 15% at the end of her training.
